BUHL, Minn. — A 61-year-old woman from Blaine has died after a crash between a UTV and pick up truck in northern Minnesota.
According to the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office, it happened Friday at about 2:30 p.m. in Great Scott Township, north of Buhl.
Officials said the 61-year-old was the passenger on the UTV. The driver, a 15-year-old family member, was taken to a Virginia hospital for non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the pick up truck, a 17-year-old, was not hurt, according to the sheriff's office.
Authorities did not give details about what lead up to the crash on Osborn Road. They did say everyone involved was wearing proper seatbelts and restraints, and alcohol does not appear to have been a factor in the crash. The cause of the crash is being investigated with help from Minnesota State Patrol.
