Worker finds body in Maple Grove on Saturday

Officials confirmed the body of an adult was found in a holding pond on Saturday afternoon.

MAPLE GROVE, Minn. — Police are investigating after a maintenance worker discovered a body in the creek near a park in Maple Grove on Saturday. 

Around 3:30 p.m., the Hennepin County Sheriff's Water Patrol Deputies received a call about a body in a creek at the Elm Creek Rest Area in Maple Grove. 

Officials said an adult was found in a holding pond in the area. 

No other information about the body, including age or gender, has been released by authorities at this time. 

Multiple departments, including Maple Grove Fire, Maple Grove Police and Minnesota State Patrol, are assisting in the investigation.
