Body found after Roseville house fire

Shortly after 9 a.m., a passerby notified Roseville Fire that smoke was billowing out of the door and windows of the home.

Roseville fire crews put down a house fire Monday morning, and then located the body of a resident inside.

ROSEVILLE, Minn — Authorities are investigating a deadly house fire that happened Monday morning in the northeast metro.

Shortly after 9 a.m., a passerby notified Roseville Fire that smoke was billowing out of the door and windows of a home on the 300 block of County Road C near Acorn Park.

Roseville Fire officials said a crew was at the home four minutes later.

"One adult male was immediately located inside the residence and was declared deceased at the scene," according to a news release.

The victim has not been identified.

Officials said firefighters put out the house fire without damaging any nearby homes.

The Little Canada Fire Department, St. Anthony Fire Department and Lake Johanna Fire Department assisted with extinguishing the fire.

From the exterior of the home on County Road C, there is little sign of the fire that claimed a man's life.

The Roseville Fire Department is investigating the cause of the fire.
