St. Paul nurse takes the call, heads east to fight COVID-19

Kristen wanted to be a nurse for as long as she could remember and after ten years on the job in Minnesota, she knew she had to answer the call for help out east

NEW YORK — Kristen heard COVID-19 was overtaking ER's and ICU's on the East Coast weeks ago. She heard they needed help. They needed nurses.  And so within 72 hours of hearing about the need, she went.  This is Kristen's story about what it's like to work on the front lines of COVID-19 in the greater New York City area.
