MINNEAPOLIS — The Canadian Pacific (CP) Holiday Train is back and will be making eight stops in Minnesota.
From Dec. 11-13, the locomotive will stop in Winona, Wabasha, Hastings, Cottage Grove, St. Paul, St. Louis Park, Golden Valley, and Minneapolis.
The holiday tradition returns for the first in-person cross-continent tour since 2019, making stops in both the U.S and Canada. This year's performers for the train shows include Alan Doyle, Mackenzie Porter, Lindsay Ell and others.
Holiday Train shows are free, and those attending are asked to bring a "cash or non-perishable food donation," if possible, according to a press release. The train aims to raise resources and awareness for local food banks "across the CP network."
"I'm grateful to the CP team members who adapted during the COVID-19 pandemic to deliver two exceptional virtual Holiday Train shows and to all those who continued to donate while we kept community members safe," said Keith Creel, CP's President and Chief Executive Officer, in a statement. "We are excited to be back out on the rails and in our communities, taking these two beautiful trains across our network and sharing the joy that comes with gathering in the spirit of giving."
