PIERCE COUNTY, Wis. — A 66-year-old Cottage Grove man is dead after diving off a pontoon Sunday afternoon at Kinnickinnic State Park in Clifton Township, Wisconsin.
According to the Pierce County Sheriff's Office, they received a call just before 1:30 p.m. on a report of a drowning. When officials arrived, they learned that t man jumped off a diving board on a parked pontoon, and didn't resurface. Friends and family were able to pull the man to shore and administer life-saving measures until first responders arrived.
Despite their efforts, the man was ultimately pronounced deceased. Officials identified the man as Keith Taylor.
