Couple seeks owner of lost class ring

A Twin Cities couple is trying to find the rightful owner of a class ring they found several years ago.

PRIOR LAKE, Minn. - A lost class ring first discovered 5 or 6 years ago seems to want to find its way home.

Jeff Keogh and his wife Kathy were walking out in the country near Highway 28 south of New Prague at that time when they stumbled across the ring, bearing the logo of Plainview High School's Class of 1976. Engraved on the ring are the initials KLM.

Kathy brought it to their home with the best intentions of finding the rightful owner, but set it aside and eventually forgot about it.

The couple packed up and moved to Prior Lake shortly after, unknowingly taking the ring with them.

A couple weeks ago the Keogh's were doing some reorganizing when they came upon the class ring again, and decided they really needed to find the owner. They emailed Plainview High School but haven't heard back yet.

Kathy and Jeff are really hoping to find the person it belongs to, thinking it may carry important memories and sentimental value. Jeff graduated from high school in 1976 himself, and told KARE 11 "I know I'd want it."

If this is your ring or you know who it belongs to, email us at news@kare11.com and share contact information. We will get you in contact with the Keoghs.
