MINNEAPOLIS — A teacher is facing federal charges after he allegedly sent and received images and video of child sexual abuse.
Daniel John Janke, 54, of Mankato, allegedly sent and received the images with "others who, like him, had a sexual preference for minors," court documents state.
Prosecutors said he was a public school teacher but did not specify with what district.
According to court documents, two victims who appeared in the images and videos were identified by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and they do not live in Minnesota.
Janke is facing four charges, one count of distribution of child pornography and three counts of receipt of child pornography.
