MINNEAPOLIS — One of the five people charged in the attempted $120,000 bribe of a juror in the Feeding our Future meal fraud trial has a "plea agreement hearing" set for July 23, according to the federal court scheduling system.

Abdimajid Nur is charged in the indictment with conspiracy to bribe a juror, bribery of a juror, and corruptly influencing a juror.

On June 2, the night before jury deliberations were set to begin for the trial of the first seven defendants in the federal child nutrition scam, someone dropped of a gift bag with $120,000 cash at the door of the youngest and only juror of color.

The woman, now known as Juror 52, immediately called police, launching a large FBI investigation.

Nur's alleged role in the crime, according to the indictment and publicly filed search warrants, included recruiting his friend Ladan Ali to fly to Minnesota and deliver the cash.

Nur is also accused of researching Juror 52's personal details, finding her home address through internet searches, and picking up the bribe money from co-defendant Said Farah's business.
