CLEAR LAKE, Wis. — A crash between an SUV and a farm tractor left one person dead in western Wisconsin.
The Polk County Sheriff's Office said the 911 call came in just after 5:15 a.m. Wednesday, for a crash on Highway 63 just north of the county line.
There was dense fog in the area, officials said. The driver of the SUV did not survive the crash. The farm tractor driver had what authorities described as minor injuries. Both were the only people in their vehicles.
Authorities did not release the names of those involved in the crash. Wisconsin State Patrol is investigating with the Polk County Sheriff's Office.
