EAST BETHEL, Minn. — A woman was injured and a man killed on Saturday afternoon when a turning SUV struck a motorcycle in Anoka County.
According to a press release from the Anoka County Sheriff's Office, multiple departments were called to East bethel around 3:30 p.m. Saturday on reports of a crash.
Officials said a woman driving an SUV was headed east on Fawn lake Drive Northeast when she attempted to turn left into a driveway. A motorcycle was behind the vehicle when it drove into the oncoming lanes of traffic and crashed into the driver's side of the SUV, officials said.
Crews worked to save the man but he was declared dead at the scene. Officials have not released his name, age or any other identifying information as of Sunday afternoon.
Police said the woman driving the SUV sustained minor injuries.
This incident is still under investigation.
