EAGAN, Minn. — A man died Monday while working on a semi-trailer at the Coca-Cola botting plant in Eagan.
Eagan police said squads were dispatched to the Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling plant on Eagandale Boulevard just before noon on Monday. Arriving officers learned that the victim, 69-year-old Taylor Trucking employee Jesse Charles Murdock, was alone and working on a semi-trailer when an accident occurred.
Murdock suffered injuries that would prove to be fatal.
"We are deeply saddened to confirm the tragic incident that occurred today at our Eagan facility," a Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling spokesperson said in a statement. "We are giving this incident our full attention and will thoroughly investigate the circumstances surrounding it. Our hearts are with the individual’s family and friends."
Police said the Minnesota State Patrol's Commercial Vehicle Unit is helping conduct the investigation into what happened.
