FRIDLEY, Minn. — It's been two years since Becca Boser has seen her brother, Matt Tuttle.

On July 18, 2022, Boser said her brother had gotten out of jail. His friend picked him up, and the two went bar hopping in downtown Anoka. The friend dropped Tuttle off at his apartment at the end of the night. Later, the caretaker of the apartment saw Tuttle leaving with no shoes on. The caretaker did not see what direction Tuttle went in.

“We don’t know, we don’t know what to look for," Boser said.

She describes her brother as someone who loved deeply and was loyal to his friends. Two years apart in age, she said they became closer as adults.

But, Boser said, he had a lot of struggles.

“He struggled with his mental health and addictions and I don’t want to gloss over any of that because it’s very real," she said.

After he was missing, groups searched the area of the apartment. They knocked on every door and put up flyers. Boser said the apartment was near the Mississippi River but at that time it was historically low. To this day there have been no credible tips about what where Tuttle went.

“It is crazy the amount of missing people in 2024," Boser said. "With all the smart technology that we have from camera on street lights, to ring door bells that we have, to tracking on phones and social media etc., it baffles me that somebody could disappear and not be found in any sort of capacity.”

Boser, of course, has not forgotten her brother. She said, even if the tips don't lead them to answers, it goes a long way when someone thinks they saw her brother, because that means they haven't forgotten about him either.

“Don’t write him off because we are sharing his mental health and unstableness with his addictions. At the end of the day Matt is still a human, he deserves to be found, he deserves to be in a safe environment, and as a family we deserve to know that he’s okay," she said.

Matt Tuttle is 29-years-old, 5'10 and 185 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. If you have information on his whereabouts you are encouraged to contact the Fridley Police Department at 763-572-3629.
