MINNEAPOLIS - The founder is back home.
"Famous Dave" Anderson has rejoined the company he founded, after a reorganization of the board of directors and executive management team of Famous Dave's of America, Inc.
Anderson had resigned as chairman of the Famous Dave's enterprise in 2004 and returned as a spokesman. In 2014, he resigned from that position.
Anderson said it was a difficult decision but one he felt he had to make because his "vision did not align with the direction that was being taken by the previous management team," he said in a press release.
The company has 44 restaurants and 136 franchise units in 33 states, plus Puerto Rico and Canada.
