Fans pack U.S. Bank Stadium for Final Four

Pep rallies for all four teams were held on Nicollet Mall ahead of the games.

MINNEAPOLIS — Tens of thousands of excited fans headed into U.S. Bank Stadium Saturday afternoon, ready to see which teams will make it to Monday's championship game.

"It was a dream season, so we'll be good," said an Auburn fan outside the stadium.

"A victory baby, bring it home," said a Virginia fan.

Before they did that, pep rallies for all four teams were held on Nicollet Mall. The teams' pep bands and cheerleaders pumped people up before the games.

Virginia and Auburn took the court at 5:09 p.m. Tip off for Michigan State and Texas Tech was 7:49 p.m.

If you're wondering how they switch out fans from the first game and bring in the next group so quickly, they actually don't. People buy one ticket, which includes both games.

The only changeover in between games is the student section, which is only about 600 people.
