Here are the roads closed by floods in southern, southeastern Minnesota

Flood warnings in Blue Earth, Waseca and Watonwan have been extended to 10 a.m. Monday morning.

MINNEAPOLIS — Sunday is forecast to be the driest and sunniest day Minnesota has seen in what feels like forever, but high water is still closing roads across the southern parts of the state.

Flood Warnings are still in effect through Monday morning from heavy rains last week across southern Minnesota after multiple days of intense rainfall. Affected counties include Blue Earth, Waseca and Watonwan.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation has posted the following closings and lane restrictions:

Hwy 15 north of Madelia: Closed due to flooding. Traffic is detoured. (June 23 at 9:15 a.m.)

Eastbound Hwy 60, east of Lake Crystal: Traffic is reduced to one lane due to water on the highway. (June 23 at 9 a.m.)

Hwy 71 in Jackson: Remains closed due to flooding, with traffic detoured to I-90, Hwy 86 and Jackson CR 34. (June 23 at 7:45 am)

Hwy 62 east of Fulda (near Talcot Lake): Closed due to flooding and traffic is detoured to Cottonwood County Roads 7, 15, and 6. (June 22, 8 p.m.)

Hwy 30 between 280th Avenue and 290th Avenue (3 miles west of Westbrook): Road closed in both directions due to flooding until Monday around 9:00 a.m.

Hwy 14 between T-196 and 50th Street (9 miles east of Eagle Lake): Closed in both directions due to flooding. A detour is in operation.

Hwy 99 between South Front Street and County Road 45 in Saint Peter:  Closed in both directions. The bridge is also closed.

Hwy 93 between MN 112 and US 169 in Le Sueur: The road is closed for flooding.

Officials want to remind Minnesota motorists to "turn around, don't drown." MnDOT said six inches of water can reach the bottom of most passenger vehicles, causing loss of control and possible stalling and a foot of water will float many vehicles.

Two feet of rushing water can carry away most vehicles, including sport utility vehicles and pick-up trucks.

According to state law, it's illegal to drive on a closed road, and motorists can face a fine of up to $1,000 and/or 90 days in jail, plus other expenses and penalties.
