BALSAM LAKE, Wis. — A fugitive wanted for murder in Hennepin County is now in custody after being arrested in western Wisconsin Saturday afternoon.
Polk County Sheriff Brent Waak says his Emergency Response Team conducted an operation at an apartment in rural Balsam Lake and captured 32-year-old Jack Guy on a second-degree murder warrant. Sheriff Waak says Guy was arrested without incident, and transported to the Polk County Jail.
He will remain in custody in western Wisconsin until Guy is extradited to Hennepin County.
Waak said his department was assisted by New Hope PD, the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office and the Wisconsin Division of Criminal Investigation.
