HCME identifies man killed in Edina bus stop stabbing

EDINA, Minn. — The Hennepin County Medical Examiner has identified the man who was stabbed to death at a bus stop earlier this week. 

According to the HCME, 62-year-old Christian Lundegaard was the man who died in the incident. 

Lundegaard, of Richfield, died from multiple stab wounds, according to the HCME's report. 

According to the Edina Police Department, officers responded to reports of a stabbing at a Metro Transit bus stop in the 6700 block of York Ave. S around 7 p.m. on Wednesday.

Arriving officers found Lundegaard with life-threatening injuries. He was transported to the Hennepin County Medical Center, where he later died.
