Timberwolves fans react to pivotal Game 6 in Minneapolis

"I mean, just the way we played in Game One and Game Two, that shows we can play," Quinton Mark said.

MINNEAPOLIS — With a pivotal Game 6 in Minneapolis Thursday night, all eyes were on the Target Center as the Timberwolves took on the Denver Nuggets. In a win or go home elimination game, the Wolves won and they'll take on the Nuggets in Game 7 on Sunday.

Even before the game though, fans told us the nerves were there, but so was another emotion.

Hope.

"I'm absolutely hopeful," David Leonidas said. "It doesn't matter what happened two years ago, five years ago, 10 years ago. Now is now, now's the time to win."

Hope itself is a funny thing. Even when it looks like there should be none, it persists.

With the Timberwolves dropping three straight and facing elimination, hope for this team continued.

"It just kind of feels like one that we're going to win," Clay Borrell said ahead of the game. "It feels like this was meant to go to seven."

In this case, though, hope isn't funny. It's real.

"I mean, just the way we played in Game One and Game Two, that shows we can play," Quinton Mark said. "We have what we need to do to win this, so I'm hopeful."

"You just gotta hope and believe. You can't let yourself think about, like, losing three games in a row or like that they blew it a lead, you just got to think they'll win this game," a young fan named Simon said. "They'll win the next one."

Even if the Wolves hadn't won Thursday, fans tell us they're confident for next season as well.

"We're here, whatever happens," one fan said. "Whatever happens, we're right behind them."
