October is Apple Month and if you can't get out to an orchard, farmer's markets are a great place to pick up a bag or a bushel.
Fireside Orchard & Gardens has been a member of the Minneapolis Farmers Market since 1982.

Fireside Orchards, located in Northfield, has 27 varieties of apples.
Winfield shows us apples that are best for:
- Pie: Blush/Zestar/Harlson
- Cider: Sweet Tango/Harlson/Regent
- Eating apples: Sweet Tango/Honey Crisp/Triumph — a new apple from the University of Minnesota.
