MINNEAPOLIS — Dinner is served at Diane's Place.
Chef Diane Moua recently added dinner service to her northeast Minneapolis Hmong American restaurant, Diane's Place, just months after the restaurant's debut in April 2024.
According to Moua, the menu is based on many of her own favorite dishes growing up, with the hope of connecting guests to Hmong traditions and culture.
The restaurant now features a menu of brunch, pastries, drinks and desserts in addition to the new dinner options. Some of the dishes featured on the menu include:
Papaya Noodle Salad: Featuring carrot long beans, tamarind vinaigrette, peanuts *mile or spicy (on the brunch and dinner menu)
Beef Laab Carpaccio: With tenderloin, shallot, rice powder, scallion aioli, herbs (dinner menu)
Eggroll Stuffed Chicken: Includes bean thread noodles, mushroom, flowering bok choy (dinner menu)
Hmong Pulled Pork: Featuring ginger, sour bamboo, green scallion – choice of sticky rice or steamed rice
Diane’s Hmong Sausage: Includes house-made Hmong style sausage served with sticky rice – choice of Hmong hot sauce or sweet & sour, and the addition of an over-easy egg (included on the brunch and dinner menus)
Diane's Place is located at 117 14th Avenue NE in Minneapolis. Brunch is served Thursday through Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with dinner service now available Thursday-Sunday from 5 p.m to 10 p.m. More information can be found on the restaurant's website.
