ST. LOUIS PARK, Minn. — Fashion Week MN is quickly approaching and there are all kinds of events to showcase the best local fashion designers and businesses.
Sarah Edwards is CEO of Fashion Week MN and joined KARE 11 Saturday to discuss all the upcoming shows.
Here's the lineup:
Thursday, April 11
The spring season kicks off with the Fashion Week MN Press Preview "Fast Fashion Protest" hosted by Stephanie Dillon's Citizen-T Project at the Shops at West End from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. It's free and open to the public.
Sunday, April 14
I AM Fabulous - a captivating Paris-themed afternoon celebrating models aged 60 and above co-produced by Keiona Cook of Lovely's Sewing and Arts Collective.
Tuesday, April 16
Into the Studio: Sustainable Style, A Fashion Revolution - a vibrant runway show produced in partnership with Danielle Everine highlighting collections by sustainability-focused fashion designers.
Wednesday, April 17
Golden Revival - an ornate runway show inspired by the golden era of designer fashion houses produced in partnership with Golden Magazine, a student-run lifestyle magazine.
Thursday, April 18
MAN DOWN: The Green Edition - an all-menswear runway show using fashion as a vehicle to bring awareness to men's mental health, produced in partnership with Gayle Smaller, Jr.
Friday, April 19
La Rotonde - an immersive runway experience celebrating the collaboration of young and emerging artists in Minnesota.
Saturday, April 20
EVOLVE - the finale event of Fashion Week Minnesota celebrating local up-and-coming and established designers as they present their spring collections on the runway and in a pop-up shop before and after the show.
