COON RAPIDS, Minn — The local nonprofit Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) has been around since 1987 and they are dedicated to providing nutritious meals to children worldwide.
They do this by hand packing special meals to donate but also by purchasing items from artisans in the communities where the food is served, in order to sell at their packing sites.
Those funds in turn go to make more meals.
A lot of these items make fantastic gifts you can feel great about giving.
Kathy Garland, Retail Event Supervisor at FMSC's MarketPlace, joined KARE 11 Saturday to discuss how every purchase strengthens families and communities around the world.
