Ginger lobster and chive potstickers recipe from Nicollet Island Inn

Nicollet Island Inn's Lobster Week runs through Jan. 21.

MINNEAPOLIS — Maybe you decided to not dine out during the rush of the holidays but want just one more holiday-inspired dining experience to launch in 2024. You're in luck, it's the annual Nicollet Island Inn's Lobster Week, which runs through Jan. 21.

This is the 13th year that Caryl and Larry Abdo have hosted Lobster Week at their historic restaurant and inn (23 rooms) on Nicollet Island – the only inhabited island in the Mississippi – built in 1893 and on the National Register of Historic Places in the United States.

The price is $100 per person and it includes a four-course meal.

  1. Ginger lobster & chive potstickers with sambal aioli
  2. Smoked cajun lobster and pork belly – tartelette with goat cheese & grilled lemon herb aioli
  3. 12 oz. lobster tail, fried red potato wedges with parmesan cheese & herbs, asparagus and broccolini
  4. Chocolate Panna Cotta with bourbon chocolate sauce

RECIPE: Ginger lobster & chive potstickers 

1 potsticker wrap

1oz. Lobster tail meat chopped

2 strips of pickled ginger chopped

1 pinch of minced chives

1/2 tsp melted butter

1 tbsp sesame oil

Mix lobster tail meat, ginger, chives and butter 

Put it in the center of the wrap. Dampen the edges of the wrap fold over and pinch edges together until sealed.

Place in lightly boiling water for 2 minutes then brown in a medium-heat pan with sesame oil until lightly browned.

Sambal aioli

2 tbsp mayonnaise 

1 tsp sambal

1/2 tsp lemon juice

Pinch of salt

-Mix all ingredients
