Hopkins brings Small Business Saturday to Main Street

Hopkins has been marking the occasion for the past 15 years with Holiday in Hopkins on Mainstreet.

HOPKINS, Minn. — It's become an annual tradition for the holiday shopping season, putting a focus on America's small business owners with Small Business Saturday.

Hopkins has been marking the occasion for the past 15 years with Holiday in Hopkins on Mainstreet, with a celebration designed to bring the whole community together.

This year, Mainstreet will be closed to traffic during the festivities between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. Activities include a photo booth, gingerbread house decorating, face painting, ornament making, and of course, a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus. Guests will be encouraged to stop by Mainstreet businesses and food trucks, and take in the city's annual tree lighting in the park.
