ST PAUL, Minn — A film about Hubert H. Humphrey, the 38th Vice President of the U.S., will be premiering at the Minnesota History Center later this month.
The film looks at the Waverly, Minnesota native's formative years as Minneapolis mayor, a tenure which culminated with his landmark speech on civil rights at the 1948 Democratic National Convention.
Acclaimed documentary filmmaker, Mick Caouette, joined KARE 11 Saturday to discuss the film, "Mayor Humphrey of Minneapolis: 1945-48."
The event is 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 28.
Tickets ($16) are on sale and Minnesota Historical Society members receive a 20% discount.
