Minnesota-made energy drink: Huxley

It's low in sugar and made with Cascara superfruit, the upcycled husk of the coffee bean.

MINNEAPOLIS — A new energy drink on the market is developed and distributed in Minnesota.

Simon Solis-Cohen launched Huxley in early 2024.

Huxley is an energy drink that is low in sugar and made with Cascara superfruit, the upcycled husk of the coffee bean.

Each flavor – Strawberry Sequoia, Tangerine Teton, and Mango Mesa – contains the same amount of caffeine as a small cup of coffee.

Huxley is made with 100% real ingredients, with no artificial flavors, sweeteners, or colors.

It also boosts electrolytes for hydration and L-theanine to enhance focus and reduce caffeine crashes.

Huxley can be found at Fresh Thyme, Kowalski's, Lakewinds Co-ops, Seward Co-ops and Wedge Co-op.

Huxley officials said it promotes environmental stewardship by donating 1% of revenue to preserving nature.
