First-ever Maplefest comes to Tattersall Distilling

The sap is running now and this weekend there's an event to celebrate everything to do with maple syrup.

RIVER FALLS, Wis. — This mild winter means the maple syrup season has arrived earlier than normal.

The sap is running now and this weekend there's an event to celebrate everything to do with maple syrup.

Tattersall Distilling in River Falls, Wisconsin is celebrating its first-ever Maplefest.

Founder Jon Kreidler and Missi Blue from Sturdiwheat stopped by KARE 11 Saturday to offer a taste. 

Timeline of Events:

THE GREAT MAPLE SYRUP OFF!

11 a.m. –12:30 p.m.

Taste 20+ syrups with pancakes and sausages and vote for your favorites for just $5.

MAPLE 101

1–2 p.m.

Join Jim Adamski for an introductory seminar on all things maple. Learn about tapping trees and making your own syrup.

TAPPING SESSION

2:15–3:45 p.m.

Join Jim Adamski for a more in-depth look at tapping and what equipment you will need to get started.

WI-SKI COCKTAILS AND RUSH RIVER MAPLEFEST BEER!

11 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Bring your beer outside and get it poked by our fire tenders for extra special flavors.
