ST. LOUIS PARK, Minn. — This year's Twin Cities Film Festival will screen more than 140 movies.

The celebration opens Thursday, Oct. 17 with the Focus Features' thriller "Conclave" and closes Saturday, Oct. 26 with the Minnesota-connected feature, "Days When the Rain Came."

This visual arts celebration will return for in-person events at Marcus West End Cinemas, located in the Shops at West End in St. Louis Park.

More than 70 films will simultaneously stream online.

Nearly 40% of TCFF's features and shorts programming this year are works that were either filmed in the state or are tied to Minnesota talent on both sides of the camera.

Highlights of the Twin Cities Film Fest will include the attendance of actress Daisy Ridley on Oct. 21 to present the Centerpiece film "Magpie" and actor Josh Duhamel will be honored with the NorthStar Award on Oct. 24.
