Univ. of MN Health opens Sports and Orthopaedics Walk-In Clinic

A new walk-in clinic hopes to get faster and better treatment to those who have been injured.

MINNEAPOLIS - The University of Minnesota Health has opened a new Sports and Orthopaedic Walk-In Clinic to help serve the needs of patients seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Dr. Jeffrey Macalena is a sports medicine and orthopaedic specialist and one of the Gopher team physicians. Dr. Macalena and his colleagues treat pain or injury affecting back and neck, elbows, hands and wrists, hips, knees, feet and ankles, shoulders, sports-related concussions less than a month from injuries and broken bones.
