MINNEAPOLIS — With the Twin Cities metro getting a dusting a snow heading into the weekend, now is the perfect time to cozy up at home with a good book, and one Uptown bookstore has a list of best winter reads.
During KARE11 Saturday, Annie Metcalf of Magers & Quinn, one of the largest independent bookstores in the Midwest and located off of West Lake Street and Hennepin Avenue, shared some great reads that everyone should add to their reading list.
Whether your New Year's Resolution is to read more or if you're looking to pick something up for a weekend inside, Magers & Quinn's wide selection of books has something for everybody.
Magers & Quinn's winter reads list includes:
- 'Real Easy' by Marie Rutkoski
- 'The Bright Ages' by Matthew Gabriele and David Perry
- 'The City Beautiful' by Aden Polydoros
- 'Winter Sleep: A Hibernation Story' by Sean Taylor, Alex Morss and Cinyee Chiu
For the last 25 years, Magers & Quinn has been selling new and used books for the Twin Cities community. They sell a wide variety of books, from graphic novels to philosophy, and ranging from books currently in print production to hard-to-find edition books, any everything in between.
