ST. LOUIS PARK, Minn — A restaurant beloved in St. Louis Park for generations — the Galaxy Drive-In has a new life.
Wells Roadside just opened, serving up smash burgers, Chicago dogs and hand-cut fries.
The restaurant is in the building of the former Galaxy Drive-In which closed in 2015.
The owners of the restaurant said they came up with the concept after visiting Gott's Roadside in California.
Craft & Crew Hospitality opened Wells Roadside on Tuesday, it's their seventh restaurant in the Twin Cities.
Craft & Crew also operate these restaurants: Pub 819 (Hopkins), Duke's on 7 (Minnetonka), Stanley's Northeast Bar Room (Minneapolis), The Howe Daily Kitchen & Bar (Minneapolis), The Block Food + Drink (St. Louis Park) and The Bar Draft House (Hastings).
Co-owner Luke Derheim joined KARE 11 Saturday to discuss the new burger joint.
