Impending snow could make for stressful Thanksgiving travel

Snow expected to hit Minnesota before Thanksgiving could make for a longer drive, and delays at airports.

Wednesday is expected to be the busiest travel day at MSP Airport before Thanksgiving, with TSA expecting to screen 36,000 people.

However, with snow about to slam Denver, then making its way to the Upper Midwest, travelers are thinking about potential delays.

TSA recommends travelers get to MSP Airport two hours before their flight leaves. If you're leaving your car at the airport, officials suggest pre-booking a spot.

If you're driving, remember to pack an emergency kit. The Dakota County Sheriff's Office is reminding people to pack blankets, charge their phones and keep at least a half-tank of gas before they drive to their Thanksgiving destination.

Other things to keep in mind: Grocery stores will be busy with people stocking up on Thanksgiving food before snow hits, and gas stations will be busy, too.
