Minnesota's first zero-waste market opens on Friday

Tare Market is working to promote sustainability.

MINNEAPOLIS — Minnesota now has its first-ever zero waste market.

Tare Market opens on Friday in South Minneapolis.

The market features a variety of products, such as bulk food, house cleaners and beauty products.

All products are either package free, recyclable or in compostable packaging. That means they don't use plastic at all.

Tare Market is the creation of co-founders Amber Haukedahl and Kate Marnach.

They plan to hold events that help you learn how to transition towards a zero waste lifestyle.
