Employee dies after becoming trapped in firewood processing machine

Police say the victim, Hector Gonzalez Zelaya, was found trapped in a machine by his coworkers.

LITTLE FALLS, Minn. — A man died after being trapped in a firewood processing machine at his job in Fort Ripley Township, according to the Morrison County Sheriff's Office. 

Deputies from the sheriff's office responded to a report of an accident at a firewood processing facility off 233rd Street at roughly 10:28 a.m. 

A man, 39-year-old Hector Gonzalez Zelaya, was found trapped in a machine by his coworkers, according to the sheriff's office.

Deputies and other first responders attempted life-saving measures but Zelaya was declared deceased at the scene.
