BLOOMINGTON, Minn. - The ferris wheel at the Mall of America was shut down on Saturday after an incident led to mall security having to take people off the ride, according to a mall spokesperson.
The spokesperson said the ride experienced problems with weight distribution earlier in the day on Saturday. They said it will be shut down for the rest of the day.
The mall had to employ alternative means to get people off the ride as a safety precaution, the spokesperson said. No further details were given.
No injuries were reported.
