BLOOMINGTON, Minn. — In the mood for a scare now that there's a chill in the air? You can celebrate spooky szn a bit early at the Mall of America.

MOA's Nickelodeon Boo-niverse — Nickelodeon Universe's more sinister sibling — runs from Sept. 23 to Oct. 31 and offers "frights, delights and freaky good times," like DIY slime-making, a limited-time Fog Chute ride and nightly "Fright Lights," among other alarming activities.

On Monday, Oct. 14 and Monday, Oct. 28, the mall will also host special Halloween parties, where guests become ghouls; live music brings monsters out to mash; both tricks and treats are aplenty and unlimited access to amusement park rides will have you running for your life.

If you aren't sufficiently startled and satisfied by the time rides shudder, the park goes dark each night and displays its Fright Lights Halloween Light Show, which MOA said is "all in the name of spooky Halloween fun."
