MINNEAPOLIS — A man died after a shooting Monday in the Target parking lot in the Quarry Shopping Center in Minneapolis, according to officials.
Minneapolis police said they responded to the shooting at 1650 New Brighton Blvd. around 3:45 p.m. They found a 19-year-old man lying in the parking lot with a potentially life-threatening gunshot wound.
The man was transported to HCMC, where he later died.
Minneapolis police said they arrested a 20-year-old suspect for the shooting. Preliminary investigation indicates that the gun was shot during a physical altercation.
The Quarry Shopping Center has multiple stores in addition to Target, including PetSmart, Cub Foods and Home Depot.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner will release the name of the deceased.
