MINNEAPOLIS — The man who collided with a Minnesota State Patrol vehicle on June 14 has died from his injuries, according to Minneapolis police.
According to the MPD, the state patrol was pursuing a motorcycle at roughly 4 p.m., before terminating the chase after the vehicle left the highway.
MSP used its helicopter to maintain visual contact with the motorcycle, police said in a statement.
The motorcycle allegedly struck a "stationary" MSP vehicle with its emergency lights activated at Cedar Avenue near 51st Street East, despite police saying the motorcyclist was "no longer being pursued."
The MPD is leading the investigation with assistance from the state patrol.
This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
