ST PAUL, Minn. — A decomposed body was found inside the shed located in the backyard of a home in the Summit-University neighborhood of St. Paul.

According to the St. Paul Police Department, a man reported finding the skeletal remains inside a shed in his backyard. The man told police he believes it could be his brother, who was homeless and occasionally slept in the shed.

The homeowner said he hadn't been in the shed in about four years. He told police that there was a strong smell coming from the shed a few years prior, but he believed it was an animal.

The Ramsey County Medical Examiner will release the identity of the victim as well as a cause of death.
