LAKE OF THE WOODS, Minn. — The Lake of the Woods County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a man's body was recovered from the Lake of the Woods.
Deputies from the office were notified of a potential drowning at the Northwest Angle near Flag Island on the lake around 8:12 a.m. Thursday morning.
Upon arrival, the deputies conducted a search in conjunction with the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) and the Department of Natural Resource (DNR) and the Cass County Lakes Area Dive Team.
At around 3:05 p.m., the body of a male was recovered from approximately 10 feet of water, according to a release.
