Man fatally stabbed at Metro Transit bus stop in Edina

The man who was stabbed was rushed to a nearby hospital but did not survive his injuries.

Edina police arrested a suspect accused of stabbing a man to death at a Metro Transit bus stop in Edina.

EDINA, Minn. — One man has died after being stabbed in Edina Wednesday night.

According to the Edina Police Department, officers responded to reports of a stabbing at a Metro Transit bus stop in the 6700 block of York Ave. S around 7 p.m.

Arriving officers found a man with life-threatening injuries. He was transported to the Hennepin County Medical Center, where he later died. 

The suspect in the incident remained on the scene and was arrested, according to the police.  At this time it is unclear whether the two knew each other. 

The incident remains under investigation.
