Minneapolis police are investigating a shooting in North Minneapolis that left a man dead early Wednesday.
Police spokesman Sgt. Garrett Parten said the shooting happened just after 1 a.m. The victim, later identified as 47-year-old Samuel Terrence Yeager Jr. of Minneapolis, died at the scene near the intersection of West Broadway and Emerson Avenues North.
An autopsy by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner showed Yeager died of multiple gunshot wounds.
KARE 11 was at the scene and reported multiple squad cars and a forensics team gathering evidence. As of 5:30 a.m., the scene had cleared.
No arrests in Yeager's death had been made as of Wednesday morning.
