MINNEAPOLIS - The iconic statue of Mary Tyler Moore has returned home to the corner of 7th and Nicollet.
The location is near where the actress tossed her hat during the credits of her popular TV series set in Minneapolis.
The statue was created by artist Gwendolyn Gillen and is owned by TV Land. The reinstallation of the statue helps mark the end of construction on Nicollet Mall this week.
The official celebration of the end of the construction project is Thursday November 16.
