MINNEAPOLIS — Nothing else matters... besides the upcoming weekend of Metallica performances and free activities.

The M72 World Tour will hit the U.S. Bank Stadium on Friday, Aug. 16 and Sunday, Aug. 18.

The heavy metal sensation has been shattering expectations and eardrums since their first album release in 1983. The tour name is a reference to the band's most recent album "72 Seasons."

Tickets are still widely available and range from about $55 to $265. Click here for Friday tickets and here for Sunday tickets

To make the most of your weekend, Saturday will have a full slate of Metallica-themed activities.

Kicking off the day, the Riverview Theater is hosting screenings of "Cliff 'Em All," "Cunning Stunts" and "Orgullo, Pasion Y. Gloria: Tres Notes En La Ciudad De Mexico." Admission is $15 and includes all three films. Click here for more

After the movie marathon, head to Memory Lanes in south Minneapolis to bowl with backup from a Metallica cover band. The event will go from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

If you'd like to bask in the quiet of a museum before your ears ring at the concert, the Minneapolis Institute of Art is hosting a photography exhibit centered around "The Black Album." Tickets are $20 and more information is available here

To cap off the night with a healthy dose of rage, go to Smash Park in Roseville for free axe throwing and a "name that tune" game with a chance to win free Metallica tickets.
