MINNEAPOLIS — One man was killed and two others injured after a Friday night shooting in Minneapolis.

Around 11:30 p.m., police were called to a shooting in the area around Lake Street and Park Avenue. When officers arrived, they found a man with life-threatening gunshot wounds.

Crews treated the man on scene before he was taken by EMS to Hennepin Healthcare.

Officials said the man was later pronounced dead at the hospital. Details about the man, including his name and age, have not been released by authorities at this time.

A short time later police learned that two other men had gone to the hospital for non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. One man went to Abbott Northwestern Hospital and the other to Hennepin Healthcare. Officials believe both men were injured in the shooting earlier that night.

In a press release, police said preliminary information shows a group was gathered and a verbal argument occurred prior to the shots being fired.

There have been no arrests and police are still investigating the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or to submit a tip online at www.CrimeStoppersMN.org
