MINNEAPOLIS — Three people were rushed to HCMC after a shooting occurred near Fifth Street North and Hennepin Avenue early Monday morning.
The shooting happened around 2 a.m. outside Augie's Bourbon Street Cabaret in downtown. Minneapolis police said two men in their 20s were shot and hospitalized with potentially life-threatening wounds and a woman in her 30s received non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.
Minneapolis police said officers believe the shooting began as an altercation and escalated to gunfire in front of a crowd. There have been no arrests but investigators are working to find connections between the victims and a possible shooter.
