BEMIDJI, Minn. — Twenty days after he went missing, officials reported Tuesday that a 61-year-old Bemidji man was found safe.
The Bemidji Police Department said the man had been last seen on the 900 block of 6th St. SE before he left the area around 4 a.m. on May 8. In an updated statement Tuesday, police thanked everyone who assisted in the search.
Authorities said in a previous release that the 61-year-old had mental health disabilities and may have tried to return to previous homes in different states.
