MN State Patrol investigating crash with injuries on Highway 8

The driver of the Chevrolet suffered non-life threatening injuries and has been taken to an area hospital, said the state patrol.

CHISAGO COUNTY, Minn. — US Highway 8 between Taylor Falls and Highway 95 has reopened after a serious crash.

The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating the crash after two people were airlifted to a hospital and at least one other person was transported via ambulance, according to the Chisago County Sheriff's Office.

A Chevrolet was traveling eastbound on Highway 8 when it crossed over the center line and hit a Ford Taurus head-on around 1p.m. on Saturday, according to the state patrol. 

The passenger of the Ford suffered non-life threatening injuries and has been hospitalized, while the condition of the Ford's driver has not yet been released.
