ROCHESTER, Minn. — A Minnesota woman has been charged with multiple felonies after she allegedly used a pizza cutter to slash the face of a toddler on Thursday.

According to charging documents, 26-year-old Andrianna Newburn cut the face of a 1-year-old during a scuffle with the child's mother.

Officers from the Rochester Police Department responded to a business on Greenview Drive Southwest on June 13, at roughly 2:53 p.m.

Upon their arrival, officers found a mother and her daughter, the latter of whom appeared to be bleeding from the face, according to the documents.

The mother told officers she had been in an argument with Newburn about work-related duties, when Newburn grabbed a pizza cutter from the back room and began swinging the tool at the child.

Newburn allegedly fled the scene with her children, before making contact with the officers, according to the document.

Newburn allegedly told the officers that she intentionally attacked the child because her mother had threatened Newburn's children. She also said the other mother had been bossing her around all day.

This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
